The Library will be closed this coming week and the week after the Easter holidays. The building company need to lift heavy girders into place over the roof of the Library to provide the framework for our brand new building that will incorporate our purpose-built library and Sixth Form study.
If you would like to return any books you have on loan, there is a box in Reception which I will empty every day. There will be no fines charged for any books due during the period the Library is closed. Contrary to popular opinion, I will not be holidaying when the Library is closed, but working in the staff quiet room and can be contacted by email.
If you are going to miss visiting the Library, what can you do in the meantime? Here are a few suggestions:
Read e-books. You may borrow for free here but you will need to contact me for a login and PIN
Visit your local public library. Details of Warwickshire Public Libraries can be found here.
Explore some book-related websites and start your own wish list for books you are looking forward to reading. Here are a few suggestions:
Booktrust and Scottish Book Trust
The CILIP Carnegie and Greenaway Medal site
The Guardian’s teenage books selection
